Cancer Research |

The Myers Team has consistently been one of the Top Ten Re/Max
Offices in the world, according to Mark Myers. Mark and his wife,
Susie, are both members of RE/MAX Hall of Fame, an honor given for
each having earned a million dollars in commissions. The Myers Team
is the top selling NAMAR team for two years in a row.
This team of professionals who have worked so hard to find the
perfect house for thousands of families are now putting their energy
and enthusiasm into fighting cancer.
"It seems like just about everyone you know has a friend or
family member battling the disease." and Myers. Cancer has struck
the Myers' more than once. Susie's father died of liver cancer, and
a colleague at Re/Max Preferred passed away due to melanoma.
"He didn't even feel sick," said Mark Myers.
The threat of cancer hit home recently when Susie's routine exam
revealed suspicious results.
"She turned out to be fine, but sitting in that waiting room
about scared me to death," said Myers. "I thought, there has to be
someway we can be pro-active in fighting cancer, not just wait to be
a victim."
That's when the Myers Team began using only breast cancer
research postage stamps for all their home and business mailings.
The stamp cost a little more, but 11 cents from each stamp goes
towards breast cancer research.

"It's such a small, inexpensive thing to do to help fight cancer,
but it didn't appear that the post office was promoting the stamps
very much," said Myers. "I wondered what I could do to help promote
them."
Like a true real estate agent, Myers hit upon the idea of having
people a contract agreeing to purchase breast cancer research
stamps. This led to the construction of their newest web site
www.contracttocurecancer.com. At this site, any person can sign
the contract and learn more about cancer research.
The purchase of the breast cancer research postage stamp has
raised 24 million dollars as of this month, according to the
website.
In addition to their efforts to fight cancer, there are many
reasons why The Myers Team is so successful in the real estate
field.
"We have developed what I call "The Real Estate Office of the
Future." said Myers, who has held his real estate license since
1985.
The Myers Team publishes their own magazine of listings that is
mailed to every home and post office box in Loganville and
Snellville, and is placed at strategic locations around metro
Atlanta.
Agents with The Myers Team are equipped with two way radios so a
family looking for a home can have immediate service. The Myers Team
works hard to sell homes. If .......

HAVE YOU
SIGNED THE CONTRACT TO CURE CANCER? |
Karen
Eggers |
Maybe you’ve seen the signs around Loganville,
“Sign the Contract to Cure Cancer,” and wondered what it’s all
about. They’re on cars, in store windows, on tee shirts, everywhere
you look. This program is the creation of Mark and Susie Myers of
the Myers Team at RE/MAX Preferred.
In a nutshell, the program promotes the
awareness of and purchase of the U.S. Postal System’s Breast Cancer
Research Stamp. To date, U.S. citizens have purchased enough stamps
to contribute over $27 million for cancer research. These dollars
go toward tumor research, which benefits many types of cancer, not
just breast cancer. According to the U.S. Postal System, the
program raises over $972 per HOUR.
As a recent cancer survivor and longtime
volunteer for the American Cancer Society, I wholeheartedly support
the Contract to Cure Cancer Program. It’s such an easy way for
citizens to contribute to cancer research, and help find a cure.
Being diagnosed with breast cancer and becoming a survivor has
changed my life in ways that only other survivors can understand.
Every day is a great day and a gift.

To participate, all you need to do is visit the
program’s website at
www.contracttocurecancer.com, and sign up by pledging to buy the
stamps. Many area citizens, churches and businesses have joined us
by purchasing the stamps and placing signs in their yards and
business windows. You can also see photos of participants and their
places of business.
On September 28th, Dr. Bodai, the
creator of the Stamp Program, will visit Loganville to nationally
kick of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is October each year.
We are planning a huge rally to kick off the month and are very
excited about his upcoming visit.
If you would like more information about how
you can help, please call The Myers Team Office at 770-554-7230.
